Sponsorship and Commercial Support Polic

Sponsorship and Commercial Support Policy

The Archives of Pediatric Neurosurgery (APN) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of editorial integrity, scientific independence, and transparency. To this end, the journal has established the following policy regarding sponsorships and commercial support:

Transparency in Sponsorship

All forms of commercial sponsorship, financial support, or advertising must be clearly and prominently disclosed. Any content, publication, or event that receives financial backing from external entities will include a clear acknowledgment of the sponsor. This ensures transparency for readers and helps prevent any misunderstanding regarding the origin or influence of the content.

The editorial board guarantees that sponsorship does not influence editorial decisions. Sponsored articles or supplements will undergo the same rigorous peer-review process as all other submissions, and editorial independence will be preserved under all circumstances.

Editorial Independence and Safeguards

To protect the integrity of the journal:

  • The editorial team operates independently of any commercial influence. No sponsor may dictate, suggest, or influence the content of any editorial, scientific article, or editorial decision.

  • Sponsored content, if accepted, will be clearly labeled as such, and any conflicts of interest will be disclosed in accordance with COPE and ICMJE guidelines.

  • The journal reserves the right to refuse sponsorship or advertising that is not aligned with its ethical values, scientific mission, or professional standards.

By adhering to these principles, APN ensures that its readers, authors, and stakeholders can trust in the credibility, neutrality, and academic rigor of the material it publishes—regardless of financial or institutional support.
